Job summary

Mosaic Life Care St Joseph Medical Center seeks a Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT) to provide skilled rehab services in our hospital setting. This role offers 16–20 hours per week, with days shifts Sunday through Thursday, in a fast-paced but supportive team environment.

As a PT, you will evaluate patients, create treatment plans, educate nursing staff and families, document care, and maintain equipment. Candidates should have a PT degree, an active license in Missouri, CPR certification, and

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient condition, develop a treatment plan and help them improve daily.
• Instruct nursing staff and patient families on follow-through programs.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct patient families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area safe and clean.
• Perform other duties per policy and as assigned.

Mosaic Life Care provides Inpatient Rehabilitation/Post-Acute Care in St. Joseph, MO. Therapy plays a very important role in recovery from a life-altering injury or illness. We offer a hospital-based physical rehabilitation program for the treatment of those who have experienced a debilitating injury or illness. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What you will do in this role:

• Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed -evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better, day by day. You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
