Houston Physicians Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our care team in Houston, TX. The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and responsibilities for evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education.

The PT will document and coordinate care with physicians, supervise therapy staff as needed, and participate in ongoing educational activities. BLS and state licensure are required; strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• State Physical Therapy licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication with patients and physicians.
• Good organizational skills with accurate documentation for billing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients per physician orders.
• Participate in treatment reviews and progress reassessments.
• Educate patients and caregivers.
• Document thoroughly for billing and records.
• Direct and assist OT staff as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
• Deliver educational services and participate in in-service activities.

Full-Time Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist at Houston Physicians Hospital

The physical therapist will have responsibility for daily patient physical therapy treatment involving frequent phone and in person interaction with both patients and physicians. Will provide patient care as prescribed by the referring physician, including evaluation and assessment, design of treatment programs, implementation and supervision of treatment programs and educational services. Will also maintain and update patient case files.

Responsibilities:

• Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment as ordered by prescribing physician.
• Participate in treatment review, progress, and ongoing patient care reassessments.
• Education of patient and caregiver(s).
• Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.
• Direct and assist occupational therapy staff as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, physicians and employees.
• Provide necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and clean working environment, including physical plant, equipment maintenance and supply inventory levels.
• Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the department manager.

Qualifications:

• State Physical Therapy licensure required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record Documentation.
