Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital is hiring a PRN Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care at a state-of-the-art facility. The therapist will perform evaluations, design and implement treatment programs, and supervise services prescribed by the physician, while updating patient records.

Qualifications include state licensure, graduation from an accredited PT program, current BLS, and strong interpersonal and documentation skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and EMR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• State Physical Therapy licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment as ordered by prescribing physician.
• Participate in treatment review, progress, and ongoing patient care reassessments.
• Education of patient and caregiver(s).
• Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.
• Direct and assist occupational therapy staff as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, physicians and employees.
• Provide necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and clean working environment, including physical plant, equipment maintenance and supply inventory levels.
• Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the department manager.

Physical Therapist at Houston Physicians Hospital

The physical therapist will have responsibility for daily patient physical therapy treatment involving frequent phone and in person interaction with both patients and physicians.
