Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to evaluate and direct patient care across the emergency department, medical/surgical floors, ICU, outpatient surgery, and long-term care units, coordinating with physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams to meet patient needs.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Doctoral program in Physical Therapy, FSBPT certification, and Michigan licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
• FSBPT Certification or eligible for licensure in Michigan.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment within license scope and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and diagnose patient conditions.
• Set treatment goals with patient and family and document timely.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement physical therapy plan.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: The primary role of the physical therapist is to establish, direct, prescribe, and communicate care needs between physical, occupational, and speech therapies for the emergency department, medical/surgical floor, intensive care unit, outpatient surgery department, and long-term acute care department to parties directly in charge of patient care and needs. Position Purpose

The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy.

What the Physical Therapist ( PT ) Will Do

• Providing treatment and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.
• Evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patient conditions.
• Establish treatment goals utilizing input from patient and their family as appropriate Documentation remains in accordance with established internal/external timeliness standards, insurance standards, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Participates as a part of an interdisciplinary and patient-centered care team which includes the verbal and written exchange of information with other healthcare team members as it pertains to integrate a physical therapy treatment plan

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Doctorate’s or previously equivalent professional Physical Therapy training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required

• Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy FSBPT Certification.
• State of Michigan Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS or equivalent
