Job summary

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team in Deltona, FL. The role offers a full-time schedule and pays $56.00–$58.00 per hour.

You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to restore mobility and independence. A Florida PT license and a degree from an accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to compassionate, individualized resident care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ strength, range of motion, balance, gait, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or reduce disability.
• Monitor residents’ progress and adjust treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other departments to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, care plans, clinical notes, and progress reports.
• Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of physical therapy programs and services.
• Maintain therapy standards in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to new or less experienced therapy personnel.
• Assist with identifying departmental staffing needs and supporting recruitment and selection as needed.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and resident-centered rehabilitation environment.
