Job summary

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Deltona, FL is looking for a compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team. You will provide individualized therapy services to help residents improve mobility, regain strength, manage pain, and achieve greater independence.

The role involves evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, coordinating with physicians and staff, and mentoring newer therapy personnel while maintaining high standards and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ strength, range of motion, balance, gait, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or reduce disability.
• Monitor residents’ progress and adjust treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other departments to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, care plans, clinical notes, and progress reports.
• Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of physical therapy programs and services.
• Maintain therapy standards in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to new or less experienced therapy personnel.
• Assist with identifying departmental staffing needs and supporting recruitment and selection as needed.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and resident-centered rehabilitation environment.
