Job summary

Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center in Danville, Virginia is seeking a caring Physical Therapist licensed in Virginia or pursuing licensure through an approved program. Join our team of rehab professionals delivering comprehensive PT services in a state-of-the-art rehab gym and helping residents regain independence.

You will evaluate residents, create treatment plans, obtain physician approval, participate in discharge planning, and supervise support staff.

Qualifications

• Virginia Physical Therapy license required or currently licensed in another state with VA licensing assistance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop effective PT treatment plans.

The Physical Therapist evaluates residents, develops effective treatment plans, and obtains approval for service from the referring physician. Treats residents according to the physician’s treatment plan. Participates in discharge planning. Records evaluation, treatment, and charges. Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides. Screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.

Requirements:

• Virginia Physical Therapy License (IF CURRENTLY LICENSED IN NC, WE WILL ASSIST IN ACQUIRING VA LICENSE)

• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
