Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) for weekend coverage. You will assess referred patients, deliver rehab services, and document progress as per guidelines.

You will also supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high-quality care. The ideal candidate graduated from an accredited PTA program, holds an active license in Florida, and demonstrates strong patient service, professionalism, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Maintains timely weekly progress notes and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities Include:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, provides patient treatment that meets patient needs, uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with clinical procedures. Writes accurate complete and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements. Responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, adult neurological, cardiac or general rehabilitation preferred
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
