Job summary

Palmetto Subacute CareCenter in Miami, FL is seeking a Physical Therapist for weekend PRN coverage. The role focuses on geriatric rehabilitation with emphasis on patient-centered care and teamwork.

The position requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, FL license, and the ability to document progress and collaborate with all disciplines. Per diem weekend shifts are offered to support patient needs and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Must hold a valid Florida license/registration.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in geriatric, neurological, cardiac or general rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients that require rehabilitation services.
• Provide patient treatment meeting patient needs and use current treatment knowledge.
• Write accurate, complete documentation per regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements.
• Oversee and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities Include:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, provides patient treatment that meets patient needs, uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with clinical procedures. Writes accurate complete and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements. Responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of FL
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Physical Therapist
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation, adult neurological, cardiac or general rehabilitation preferred
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.
