Job description

Inova Physical Therapy, Tysons/McLean location is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist to join our growing team. This is at our Vienna/McLean location. We need weekday coverage for PTO and call outs. Weekend hours are available if interested.

Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:

1. Documents evaluation results clearly and completely, including all essential elements according to department policy.
2. Completes daily progress notes reflecting patients' responses to treatment, performance, and assessments relevant to the treatment plan, including discharge needs and summaries if needed.
3. Completes discharge notes summarizing treatment course, progress toward goals, discharge needs, follow-up recommendations, and patient/family education.
4. Documents clearly, concisely, and legibly within established timeframes to ensure treatment continuity, proper interpretation by payers, and reimbursement support.
5. Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.
6. Contacts families, physicians, or other healthcare team members proactively to address patients' or families' special needs for effective treatment planning.
7. Provides educational materials and methods suitable to the patient's understanding and motivation, involving families/caregivers in education and training.

Physical Therapist Additional Requirements:

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start, through the American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist license upon start.
• Experience: Not required; 1 year in acute care preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy; Master's degree preferred.
