Per diem staff are also expected to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year, and be able to complete mandatory education/training during non-shift hours, but on the clock. New Employee Orientation process is very rigorous for the first few weeks to a month (and would likely require some time off from an alternate position), and certain aspects are mandatory with regard to schedule.
