Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN for their outpatient neuro specialty in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree and a valid Indiana Physical Therapy license. Physical Therapist PRN - Outpatient Neuro Specialty

Location: 8501 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN 46216, United States

Shift: Day job

Hours: 7:00 am–6:00 pm Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm Friday. PRN role with possibility to work up to 3–5 days a week at outpatient orthopedics and neuro location. Non‑benefited.

Responsibilities

A Physical Therapist will be responsible for interpreting results of initial evaluation, determining appropriate patient goals, and developing a treatment plan. The therapist will modify the treatment plan as needed and utilize appropriate treatment techniques. Physical therapists will also be responsible for participating in teaching opportunities or clinical education of students and inter‑disciplinary program planning. Most importantly, the therapist must establish and maintain a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and personal safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program is required
• Must have a valid Indiana Physical Therapy license or temporary permit
• Previous outpatient orthopedics and neuro experience preferred
• Must be knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation, therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends
• Must effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers
• Ability to incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient is helpful
• Must be able to lift/transfer patients and treatment supply items without restriction
