Job summary

The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join our inpatient unit in McKinney, TX. You will perform daily patient assessments and treatment, review physician protocols, and document care for billing.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited PT program, hold current state licensure, and BLS certification. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate with physicians and staff are essential; experience in sports or industrial medicine

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
  • Current state Physical Therapy licensure required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Daily patient physical therapy assessments and treatment.
  • Review treatment protocols of ordering physician.
  • Participate in treatment plan reviews and ongoing patient care reassessments.
  • Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.
  • Direct and assist other clinical staff as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and physicians.
  • Provide educational services and participate in facility in-service activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean facility including equipment maintenance and supply inventory.
  • Take on other duties assigned by the Director of Inpatient Unit.

Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum and possess a current BLS Card. State Physical Therapy licensure required. General physical therapy, sports and industrial medicine experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.

Computer experience in windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Daily patient physical therapy assessments and treatment.

2. Review of treatment protocols of ordering physician.

3. Participate in treatment plan review and ongoing patient care reassessments.

4. Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.

5. Communication ability to direct and assist other clinical staff as necessary.

6. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and physicians.

7. Provides necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities.

8. Works to ensure a safe and clean facility including physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep.

9. Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Inpatient Unit.
