Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Miami Lakes is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address neurological and orthopedic conditions.

The role includes supervising PTAs and PT/ PTA students, completing timely documentation, and participating in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT/PTA students.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including education and adaptive equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• State Licensure: Hold a current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Certified BLS: Possess Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
