Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in Savannah, GA. This PRN/Per Diem role involves initial and ongoing assessments, goal setting, discharge planning, and supervising PTAs and students.

You will work with a team dedicated to compassionate treatment, with responsibilities including documentation, education for patients and families, and participation in department-wide quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participating in discharge planning for each patient, including education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervising PTAs and PT/PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitoring patient responses and modifying treatment during sessions.
• Completing required documentation per department policies.
• Participating in continuing education seminars and in-services.

Responsibilities
