Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for adults and seniors in a supportive healthcare environment.

You will supervise rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants, ensuring care complies with State Practice Acts and departmental policies, while maintaining high standards of patient care and collaboration within the team.

Qualifications

• DPT/BSc/MS in Physical Therapy required or equivalent.
• Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the practice state.
• BLS certification must be current before independent care.
• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year in rehab PT, with geriatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct patient supervision and oversee rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs, and perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
