Position Summary:

Staff Physical Therapist (LPT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, educating, and utilizing exercises and physical therapy modalities in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with medical problems, health-related conditions, or developmental disabilities that limit their mobility or ability to perform functional activities. The Physical Therapist also helps prevent conditions associated with mobility loss, promotes movement, reduces pain, restores function, and prevents disability to support individuals in achieving healthy and active lifestyles. Some travel may be required between facilities and for various job functions. This summary highlights the primary duties but does not exclude other responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to travel to facilities as needed.
• Membership in a professional organization is preferred.

Education / Licensure:

• Licensure in the State of Texas as a Physical Therapist.
• Clinical experience is preferred.
• Must maintain current BCLS certification according to unit-specific needs, in accordance with the AHA Healthcare Provider’s Program curriculum.

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct by following all policies and procedures, attending required training, and reporting suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.
