Trinity Health is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist for day shifts in Iowa. The role evaluates and treats patients of all ages, develops individualized treatment plans, and supervises support staff to ensure high-quality care.
You will document patient progress and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes. The position requires Iowa licensure, BLS certification, and compliance with mandatory reporting guidelines.
Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: This position evaluates and treats patients of all ages. Develop treatment plans with involvement in family/support systems to meet the individual’s functional goals. Provides direct supervision of support personal as related to patient care.
Evaluates plans, directs, supervises and conducts habilitative and rehabilitative programs for patients with physical limitations. Consults and communicates with patient, family, and other multi-disciplinary team members and service providers. Records and reports patient’s progress towards established goals, and data related to care in the patient’s medical record/chart. Instructs patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living, safe body mechanics, home exercise programs, and return to work precautions. Delegates and supervises activities of physical therapy assistants and technicians, to assure efficient use of department resources. Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.
