Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a PRN role. You will evaluate and treat patients, create individualized plans of care, and educate patients and families on home exercise programs to improve functional outcomes.

The position supports a family-friendly, team‑oriented environment with opportunities for continued learning and professional growth through free CEUs and multi‑unit training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills to accurately evaluate and effectively treat all assigned patients.
• Devise a treatment plan addressing individual, age-specific needs for functional restoration and quality of life.
• Educate patients and families about home exercise programs and purpose of therapies.
• Coordinate with other services to schedule patients and provide coverage as needed.

We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately evaluate and effectively treat all assigned patients.
• Devise a treatment plan that addresses individual, age‑specific needs, incorporating patient goals to emphasize functional restoration and quality of life.
• Monitor the appropriateness of goals and prioritize treatments to maximize patient benefit.
• Educate the patient and their family members regarding home exercise program, diagnosis‑specific information, and purpose of any therapeutic intervention.
• Coordinate with other services when scheduling patients and adjust the schedule as necessary to provide additional coverage.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Currently licensed in the state of Texas.
• PT License.

Your Shift: PRN

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24‑hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11‑day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family‑style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
