Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Lubbock Heart team. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and focus on functional restoration and quality of life.

Eligible candidates hold a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree, are licensed in Texas (PT License), and can provide care on a PRN shift. We offer great benefits, advancement opportunities, and free CEUs through Cornerstone to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Currently licensed in the state of Texas.
• PT License.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately evaluate and effectively treat all assigned patients.
• Devise a treatment plan that addresses individual, age specific needs, incorporating patient goals, to emphasize functional restoration and quality of life.
• Monitor appropriateness of goals and prioritizes treatments to maximize patient benefit.
• Educate the patient and their family members regarding home exercise program, diagnosis specific information and purpose of any therapeutic intervention
• Coordinate with other services when scheduling patients and adjust schedule as necessary to provide additional coverage

About Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24‑hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11 day‑surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
