HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our PRN team. You will assess patients, plan individualized therapy, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve mobility and quality of life.

Collaboration with physicians and the care team is essential to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, delivering therapy, and documenting progress while providing education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• State of Florida licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association).
• Customer service abilities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress, refine therapy plans, and document outcomes accurately.

We are currently looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team As our Therapist, you will assess, evaluate, plan, and carry out physical therapy programs to restore maximum reasonable function to our patients. You will work with patients to minimize any disability following disease, injury, or genetically acquired conditions. Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• You will demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning through synthesizing evaluation data from initial patient assessment, medical history and physician orders to develop a comprehensive plan of care.
• You will communicate and interact with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner.
• You will receive, interpret, and implement physician orders accurately and in a courteous manner.
• You will consult resources to clarify unfamiliar or questionable orders.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• B.S. or M.S. in Physical Therapy
• State of Floridalicensure as a Physical Therapist
• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association)
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuringaccurate,timelydocumentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist
• Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree
