Job description

Overview

This position is in the acute care setting at UF Health Jacksonville – Downtown. PRN positions require one weekend day a month and two holidays per year. Weekday availability preferred.

PRN employees working an average of 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits after one year.

Qualifications

• Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups
• Required Education: Bachelor's Degree (Physical Therapy coursework preferred)
• Necessary Skills: Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices, and equipment; good communication skills; proactive, positive problem-solving approach; understanding of hazards, precautions, and remedial measures; ability to assess and implement treatment programs for simple and complex diagnoses; computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Current Florida Physical Therapy license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services.
• Preferred Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Required Experience: Less than one year of clinical experience in the area of job opening (e.g., Acute, outpatient, etc.)
