Job summary

Easterseals Florida in Dunn Avenue and Volusia County schools is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist for part-time, in-school and in-center roles. You will provide targeted pediatric therapy, work with families and a multidisciplinary team to support each child's development and participation in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy with Florida licensure.
• Pediatric therapy experience or passion for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to meet driver qualifications for program-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for pediatric clients.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Track progress with timely EMR documentation.
• Set and achieve goals outlined in each Plan of Care.
• Manage caseload while mentoring PTA(s).
• Collaborate with families, schools and care teams.
• Educate and support families throughout therapy.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to positively shape the lives of children while working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for pediatric clients
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans

• Manage your caseload effectively while mentoring and supervising PTA(s)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred)
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida
• Medicaid and National Provider Number (preferred)
• Previous pediatric experience (preferred- but passion for working with children is key!)
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and EMR systems
• Flexibility and commitment to self-development
• Integrity, tact, and sound judgment
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business
