Job summary

A critical illness recovery hospital in Canton, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide compassionate treatment to critically ill patients. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a dedicated team. Candidates must have current state licensure and be certified in BLS. Qualifications

  • Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.

  • Teach and counsel patients/families.
  • Set goals and develop treatment plans.
  • Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific needs.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment.
  • Complete documentation per department policies.

Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Canton, OH

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN / As Needed – Weekdays Only

Compensation: $52.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.

  • Participate in discharge planning, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, and supervise PT and PTA students.
  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed.
  • Complete appropriate documentation per department policies and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in‑services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion of BLS within first 90 days of employment required.
