Zusammenfassung

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. Under the supervision of Therapy Leadership, you will supervise patients and rehabilitation staff, collaborating with PT assistants to ensure care aligns with State Practice Acts.

Candidates should have a PT degree (BS/MS or DPT), hold a current license in the practicing state, and possess a current BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• Must have current/temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required and must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Preferred experience of 6 months to 1 year in rehabilitation physical therapy.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
