Job Overview

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
  • Current or temporary licensure in West Virginia or applicable state; permanent licensure within 90 days of employment
  • Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year experience in acute care, outpatient, SNF, or home health settings
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care including assessment, treatment, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team
  • Apply research-based techniques to diagnose and treat conditions affecting movement and function
  • Supervise PTAs, Rehab Techs, students, and volunteers
  • Participate in departmental goals to support hospital objectives
  • Ensure accurate billing and documentation
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move patients using assistive devices, with a limit of 35 pounds for manual handling
  • Physical stamina for lifting, standing, walking, and carrying materials over 40 lbs
  • Visual and perceptual abilities necessary for patient care
Work Environment
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills to manage patient care effectively
