Job Description

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
  • Current or temporary licensure in West Virginia or applicable state; permanent licensure within 90 days of employment.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year experience in settings such as acute care, outpatient, SNF, or home health.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

Provides coordinated patient care including assessment, outcomes, rehabilitation, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team. Applies research-based techniques to diagnose and treat conditions affecting movement and daily function, under supervision. Oversees PTAs, rehab techs, students, and volunteers. Participates in departmental goals and supervises students and volunteers. Submits accurate billing charges via EMR.

Physical Requirements
  • Minimize manual patient lifting; utilize lift equipment and aids.
  • Work involves strength and stamina; lifting/moving materials over 40 lbs.
  • Requires various vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Working Environment

Includes exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively to meet patient care needs.

Additional Job Details

0.9 FTE dayshift RN Observation Unit; weekends; non-exempt position.
