Job summary

AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital - In partnership with Select Medical in Galloway, New Jersey, seeks a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Per Diem/PRN role. The hospital, opening August 2026, emphasizes comprehensive rehabilitation for brain and orthopedic injuries, with a multidisciplinary team led by a physiatrist.

The PT will provide initial and ongoing therapy, develop treatment plans, supervise PT/PTA staff, and contribute to discharge planning, documentation, and patient/family education.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Certified BLS.
• Per Diem / PRN availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, PT and PTA students.
• Complete documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in discharge planning and develop treatment goals.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN - 2 shifts per month / 1 holiday / 1 high need day

Compensation: $55.00 / hourly

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

New hospital opening in August 2026

A partnership between Atlanticare and Select Medical, our 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital will open later this year and serve patients in southeastern New Jersey. Led by a physiatrist - a physician board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation - our team includes rehabilitation nurses; physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists; dietitians; case managers and other clinical and support staff.
