Samaritan Keep Home is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations, and to plan and implement comprehensive therapy programs for residents. The role may involve supervising PTAs or Rehab Aides if such staff are employed in the Rehab department.

Minimum education includes a BS in Physical Therapy with completion of internships; NY licensure or eligibility is required, along with BLS certification or completion within 3 months of hire.

RATE OF PAY:

$50.00/HOUR

Performs initial evaluations and re-evaluation. Plans and implements a physical therapy program for medically referred patients, residents, or registrants. If Rehab department has PTAs or Rehab Aides in its employ, the Physical Therapist may assist with supervising this support staff.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Graduation from a Physical Therapy education program, with a minimum of a BS in Physical Therapy. Successful completion of all Physical Therapy student internships.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Demonstrates ability to effectively interact with all age groups to which service is provided. Excellent interpersonal communication and public relations skills. Must have an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s/resident’s/registrant’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Minimum License Requirement:

New York State licensure and registration or eligible. BLS certification required, or obtained within 3 months of hire date.
