Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Juneau is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evaluations and treatments for patients of all ages. You will develop individualized plans and supervise allied staff, ensuring care aligns with SEARHC policies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (or Master’s/Bachelor’s with at least 2 years of proven work experience).
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Alaska.
  • Valid driver’s license and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Clinical Competency demonstrated within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter.
  • High‑Risk Competency demonstrated within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general physical therapy evaluations and treatments for patients of all ages and diagnoses.
  • Develop, implement and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessment and patient response.
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff.
  • Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, recommendations and prognoses following SEARHC policies.
  • Attend care conferences, multidisciplinary meetings and stay in communication with referring providers.
  • Coordinate medical equipment and discharge planning to support patient outcomes.
  • Provide timely, compliant patient services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Develop and deliver patient and family education, including home exercise programs.
  • Assist senior staff with administrative duties, clinic operations, and specialty/research areas.
  • Maintain clinical supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of treatment spaces.
  • Participate in billing, reimbursement procedures, and quality assurance functions.
  • Offer therapy consultations, presentations, and in‑services to medical staff and other interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adhere to American Physical Therapy Association standards and SEARHC confidentiality and quality standards.

Pay Range: $47.69 - $67.19
Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $25,000
Relocation Bonus: Up to $10,000 for qualified hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Broad‑based clinical experience in multiple settings (preferred).
  • Knowledge of musculoskeletal physiology, neuro‑musculoskeletal assessment, general medical conditions, treatment planning, and billing mechanisms (Medicare, Medicaid, third‑party payers).
  • Proficiency with adaptive devices, assistive technology, and durable medical equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and education.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health record systems.
