Job summary

Carolina Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is seeking an innovative Physical Therapist to join our team at our South Carolina location. You will work with experienced and newer clinicians across a varied patient population, from young athletes to older adults, in orthopedics, hand, neurological, vestibular/balance, and post-surgical care.

You will assess and plan care, review referrals, document progress, mentor assistants, and collaborate with physicians and insurers while delivering

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • Review the physician's referral and patient records to determine required PT treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
  • Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
  • Develop goals based on evaluation findings and a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment programs and provide essential therapies.
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians and insurance companies.
  • Ensure timely documentation (daily notes, reports, evaluations, discharge summaries).

Job Description

We're seeking an innovativePhysical Therapistto join our team at our location. If you're excited about working with experienced clinicians as well as young and energized clinicians, a varied patient population ranging from young athletes to older adults, orthopedics, hand, neurological, vestibular/balance, post-surgical, then this is the clinic to grow in.

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
  • Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
  • Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
