Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility and access to education. You’ll evaluate needs, share findings with families and educators, and collaborate with the IEP team to tailor interventions that promote independence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent.
• Active license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations to determine the need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.
• Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop Interventions: Design evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions addressing student needs within the IEP.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or supervise PTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Collect and document student progress data for IEP reviews and planning.
• Support Teams: Participate in ARD meetings and multidisciplinary discussions to advocate for students.

• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to design evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions that address student-specific needs, support functional goals, and enhance participation in the educational environment.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or supervise licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Collect, analyze, and document student progress data, maintaining detailed and accurate records that inform IEP reviews and ongoing service planning.
• Support Teams: Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and contribute to the enhancement of special education programs.
