Job summary

Cleveland Clinic seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join our patient-first care team in Ohio. You will provide specialized therapy for bones, joints, muscles and tendons, tailored to each patient’s health background, with sensitivity and compassion to support healing.

The role is a PRN caregiver position with a schedule of 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday; Tuesday shifts run 7:00am-7:00pm and there are no holidays or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions.
• Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care with the patient and/or their family.
• Perform therapy interventions.
• Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other caregivers.

A PRN caregiver in this position works 7:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri| on Tuesday you will work 7:00am-7:00pm| no holidays or weekends.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

• Perform therapy interventions.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• 2 years of experience in a clinical area

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
• Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
• Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
• Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
• Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
• Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
• Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $50.00

Maximum hourly: $50.00
