Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo seeks an Outpatient Neurologic Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with neurological conditions affecting mobility and balance. You will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes in our outpatient neuro therapy department.

This full-time role requires state licensure as a Physical Therapist, BLS certification, and a current driver's license

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 60 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license may be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat individuals with neurological conditions affecting mobility, balance, and function.

The therapist is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while helping individuals maximize function, independence, and quality of life through specialized neurologic rehabilitation services.

Job Description

The Outpatient Neurologic Physical Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of individuals with neurological conditions that impact mobility, balance, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence. This position works with patients who may have diagnoses such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, vestibular disorders, concussion, and other neurologic conditions. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, implementing evidence-based interventions, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. The therapist educates patients and caregivers, promotes safety and independence, and helps patients achieve their functional goals within the outpatient setting. This position will be in our interdisciplinary outpatient neuro therapy department at Sanford South University in Fargo. Commitment to patient-centered care, professional development, and evidence-based practice is essential.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
• When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
