Job summary

ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist at our Health Care Center Rehabilitation Services site in Newark, Delaware. The position runs Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., providing therapy to patients recovering from injury or disease.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Licensure in Delaware and CPR certification are required; graduate from an APTA-approved

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in a timely manner.
• Establish appropriate treatment programs with clear goals.
• Complete all patient care documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
• Review active patient records in a timely manner.
• Provide patient and family education and training.
• Participate in departmental planning, in-services, and community marketing opportunities.
• Attend mandatory meetings and hospital programs and workshops.
• Maintain communication with referral sources regarding patient care.

Christiana Care Health System is currently hiring a full time Physical Therapist to work at the Health Care Center Rehabilitation Services site located in Newark, Delaware. Site hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Primary function

To provide Physical Therapy for individuals requiring rehabilitation after injury or disease process.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in a timely manner.
• Establish appropriate treatment programs that include goals to be attained in a timely manner.
• Complete all documentation relating to patient care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Review active patient records in a timely manner.
• Provide patient and family education and training.
• Participate in departmental organizational planning, in-services, educational programs, and community based marketing opportunities.
• Participate in mandatory meetings and hospital programs, seminars, and workshops.
• Maintain written and verbal communication with referral sources concerning patient care.

Education and Experience requirements

• Graduate of an A.P.T.A. approved school of Physical Therapy
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware
• CPR Certification required

Hourly Pay Range: $36.10 - $57.76

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
