Department Overview

The Woodwinds Rehabilitation clinic, located in Woodbury, evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses from cerebral palsy, to treating children who may have difficulties with motor milestones/muscle control and coordination. They provide training to children and their parents/caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment in order to promote independence.



Position Summary

Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provide a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior. This is a system casual PT position with the opportunity to cover any outpatient rehab location, based on candidate interest, and may include inpatient training. Staff who complete inpatient training are required to participate in the weekend rotation once every four weeks. We are especially interested in candidates who can provide consistent coverage for staff leaves of absence across multiple locations. Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing physical therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
