Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Nevada is seeking a Physical Therapist to join a collaborative team focused on advanced patient care in Las Vegas. You will provide highly specialized treatment for bones, joints, muscles and tendons, adapting plans to each patient’s health background and pain management needs.

This PRN caregiver role offers a Mon-Fri schedule with 8:00am–5:00pm hours, potential variability for coverage. Minimum qualifications include a PT license, a degree or certificate, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Establish, revise and evaluate plans of care while involving the patient and/or their family.
• Perform therapy interventions.
• Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other caregivers.

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will

• Evaluate and conduct prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications For The Ideal Future Caregiver Include

• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications For The Ideal Future Caregiver Include

• 2 years of experience in a clinical area
• Neurological experience
• FND experience
• EPIC experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.
• Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.
• Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient\'s arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.
• Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.
• Visual acuity to observe patient\'s gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.
• Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.
• Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient\'s description of symptoms and response to treatment.

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

• Minimum hourly: $50.00
• Maximum hourly: $50.00
