Job description

Role Summary

Our client is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist to support pediatric patients in a school-based environment. This role focuses on improving mobility, functional independence, and overall quality of life for students through individualized, evidence-based therapy interventions. The position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative team while making a meaningful impact on student development and well being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore functional abilities.
  • Diagnose and treat movement-related disorders using appropriate therapeutic techniques.
  • Educate students and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, and proper techniques to support rehabilitation goals.
  • Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and stimulation techniques to promote recovery and functional improvement.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with clinical and educational standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Physical Therapy (Master’s or Clinical Doctorate) from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pediatric or school-based physical therapy setting.
  • Familiarity with therapy services delivered within educational environments.
Work Authorization
