Full-Time Position
Caseload Mix: Schools (2 days per week) and Outpatient Clinic (3 days per week)
Compensation: $46.00–$55.00/hour, depending on experience
Career Links is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for a unique full-time opportunity that combines school-based services and outpatient therapy. The selected clinician will provide therapy services to students in a school setting two days per week and work with patients in an outpatient clinic three days per week. This position offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make an impact across multiple patient populations.
Position Summary
Perform advanced professional physical therapy services by evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for pediatric and outpatient populations. Collaborate with educators, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support functional outcomes and maximize independence.
Primary Job Functions
- Provide safe lifting, positioning, and mobility training for staff, students, patients, and families.
- Consult with teachers, care managers, paraprofessionals, physicians, and other professionals regarding student and patient needs.
- Evaluate and treat individuals with physical, developmental, orthopedic, neurological, and functional impairments.
- Maintain records on each student or patient referred, evaluated, and/or recommended for ongoing treatment.
- Communicate with outside agencies and healthcare providers regarding student and patient needs.
- Implement educational and therapy plans as outlined in IEPs, IFSPs, physician orders, and treatment plans.
- Collect data on progress toward goals and objectives and meet all required timelines.
- Communicate effectively with students, patients, families, educators, administrators, and healthcare team members regarding programs and progress.
- Create and maintain professional working relationships with families, staff, and community partners.
- Conduct assessments and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Determine and complete purchase requests for supplies, materials, and equipment based on student and patient needs.
- Participate in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications (Education, License, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Required
- Current state Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Doctorate (DPT), Master's, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Ability to perform routine computer functions, including use of email, Microsoft Office applications, and electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to travel between school and outpatient sites as needed.
- Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated appreciation for diversity in all interactions and job functions.
Preferred
- Experience in pediatrics, school-based therapy, outpatient rehabilitation, or related settings.
- Experience developing and implementing treatment plans for pediatric populations.
- Pay range: $46.00–$55.00 per hour, depending on experience
