Henry Ford Health Livonia Medical Group seeks a Staff Physical Therapist to join our Livonia location. Schedule is Full Time Days.

You will evaluate patients, diagnose movement dysfunction, and apply interventions to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Key duties include patient assessment, coordinating with physicians and nurses, documenting care and billing, mentoring staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• PT degree with licensure and 5+ years experience or CAPTE-accredited Master's/Doctorate.
• Experience in a clinical setting with team-based care.
• Ability to document care and billing per department standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning and collaboration with other health care providers.
• Documents patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
• Communicates with co-workers and other professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure optimal patient care.
• Functions as a team member in care of patients and in mentoring with other staff.
• Delegates aspects of patient care to support staff per MI licensure rules with proper supervision.
• Maintains clinical productivity standards.
• Maintains technical clinical expertise through ongoing clinical education.
• Participates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and program development.
• Maintains awareness of patient safety issues and assists in equipment maintenance.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies and HFH guidelines.
• Adheres to all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
• Represents HFH at community and professional functions when requested.
• Participates in student education programs.
