The role you’ll contribute:

Evaluates, develops an appropriate plan of care, and treats patients with bodily impairments and functional limitations as medically prescribed.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Assess patient ability to perform functional mobility skills and evaluate systems such as muscles, nerves, joints, and integumentary.
  • Design and implement treatment plans using practice standards, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Monitor and modify as needed.
  • Document and charge accurately and timely, following standards and policies.
  • Assist with discharge planning and recommend adaptive equipment and follow-up services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee care provided by assistants and aides, adhering to regulations and standards.
  • Meet departmental productivity standards.
  • Participate in meetings and educational activities.
  • Maintain clinical knowledge and serve as a clinical instructor.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about needs and care.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Entry-level competency in physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support certification before starting patient care.
  • PT - Physical Therapist licensed in the applicable state or holding a temporary permit.
