The role you’ll contribute:

Evaluates, develops an appropriate plan of care, and treats patients with bodily impairments and functional limitations as medically prescribed.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Assesses patient ability to perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
  • Designs and implements treatment plans using practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Monitors and adjusts treatment as needed.
  • Documents and charges accurately and timely, following standards and policies.
  • Provides discharge planning and information on adaptive equipment and follow-up services.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversees care provided by assistants and aides according to regulations and standards.
  • Meets productivity standards.
  • Attends required meetings and educational sessions.
  • Maintains clinical knowledge and serves as a clinical instructor for professional development.
  • Educates patients, families, and caregivers on needs and care.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Entry-level competency in physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • BCLS certification before starting patient care.
  • PT licensure in the applicable state or a temporary permit.
