Job summary

Qualifications

• DPT or equivalent qualifying degree.
• Texas Physical Therapy license required.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and examinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, functional limitations, and goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Treat orthopedic, spine, musculoskeletal, and injury-related conditions.
• Perform appropriate neurological and functional assessments.
• Provide vestibular rehabilitation when appropriately trained.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Document evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with company, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with providers, PTAs, MAs, patients, and management.
• Educate patients regarding exercises, home programs, injury prevention, and recovery expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional therapy environment.
• Participate in team huddles and interdisciplinary communication.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and support documentation for personal-injury cases.
• Maintain professional communication with referring offices and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, safety, and company policies.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the Longview rehabilitation department.
