Summary

Provides physical therapy services. Evaluates patients, sets goals, plans programs, and treats patients according to the physician's orders; maintains required records and notes; assists with directing technicians and support personnel; assumes responsibility for physical therapy charges; participates in educational programs; follows all departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains consistency with administrative and departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Performs duties related to patient care to restore maximum independence and function, adhering to ethical standards for physical therapists.
  • Demonstrates clinical competencies in physical therapy skills and techniques to promote quality patient care.
  • Participates in inter-departmental communication to achieve departmental, hospital, and corporate goals.
  • Maintains required records/documentation as specified in departmental policies.
  • Contributes to improving the effectiveness of physical therapy services.
  • Ensures safety, operation, and maintenance of therapeutic equipment.
Requirements
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Open to new graduates or experienced professionals.
  • Current registration license in Texas; provide a copy to the hospital.
  • Maintain BCLS certification.
