Job summary

Qualifications

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Inpatient Physical Therapist assesses patients’ medical status/functional loss and establishes and implements a plan of treatment that provides for achievement of optimum level of function using sound judgment and psychological sensitivity. Maintains a high level of professional expertise and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Current CPR certification.
• Physical, auditory and visual requirements as stated in attached copy of the Job Task Analysis.
• Emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress level for 8 hours at a time associated to dealing with fast‑paced physical activity, rapidly changing conditions, creative problem solving, emotional demands and demands of maintaining effective working relationship with patients and peers.
• High level of organizational skills with keen mental faculties to perform assessment and decision‑making skills in the management of acute and chronically ill patients.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with certificate, BS, MS, or PhD.
• Eligible for licensing or licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Communication/speaking/annunciation skills to receive and give information in person or by telephone.

Wages are based on prior related experience.
