Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis is seeking an inpatient physical therapist to join our acute care, flexible workforce. The PT will treat pediatric patients at Masonic Children's Hospital and adults at University of Minnesota East and West Bank campuses, providing safe, effective care within scope of practice.

You will conduct exams, establish goals, and coordinate with families and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Physical Therapy License or temporary license.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred.
• 1+ year experience in physical therapy.
• 1+ year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Evaluation/Re-evaluation with the patient and family.
• Gather pertinent data and perform examinations.
• Determine treatment diagnosis and develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with patient and family.
• Analyze data to identify needs and potential risks; determine prognosis for recovery.
• Establish individualized goals with patient and/or caregiver.
• Individualize plan of care considering developmental level and cultural differences.
• Implement and modify plan of care based on reassessment and patient response.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively.

Job description

Overview

We are seeking an inpatient physical therapist to join our acute care, flexible workforce team.

The PT will serve pediatric patients at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis and adult patients at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota East and West Bank campuses in Minneapolis. In collaboration with patients and families, the physical therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.

Position Details

• FTE: 1.0 (80 hours per pay period)
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm and one full weekend (Saturday/Sunday) per month, 8:00am – 4:30pm
