Job summary

HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our inpatient/acute care team. The ideal candidate will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and execute on treatment plans as outlined by the plan of care. They will also delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services and serve as an educator for patients, families, and co-workers.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Sign-on bonus of $25,000 is available. Location is Springfield, IL.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program which meets licensure requirements in the state of practice.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
• Illinois licensure requirements and timelines as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and execute treatment plans per the plan of care.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services.
• Educate patients, families, students, co-workers, and promote self-professional advancement.
• Engage and develop interdisciplinary teams as part of patient care.

Following physical therapy philosophies and standards of care set by Illinois Physical Therapy Act and other applicable governing agencies, licensure is required within 1 year for individuals meeting all other applicable requirements.
