Job summary

Park Nicollet is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The role involves direct patient care across adolescents to geriatrics and potential pediatric focus for certain positions.

The position includes rotating assignments through inpatient areas (med/surg, cardiac, ortho, neuro, oncology, ICU) with optional outpatient rotations. Licensure in Minnesota is required and EMR competency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in physical therapy (DPT, MS, or BS)
• Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy
• Experience in medical settings preferred, strong communication
• Proficiency with clinical equipment and EMR systems optional

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Rotate through inpatient areas (med/surg, cardiac, ortho, neuro, oncology, ICU)
• Support acute care management and specialized rotations as available

Job description

Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with pediatric care required for some specialty positions. This position uses a variety of physical therapy techniques to restore individuals to maximum functional ability, independence, participation, and freedom from pain. Performs related duties as assigned.

Rotating position, rotating through different areas of inpatient care including general med/surg, cardiac, ortho, neuro, oncology, and ICU. Interest or experience in acute care management of vertigo or lymphedema welcomed. Optional rotations also available in outpatient neuro and/or wound care, if interested.

Work Schedule:

.90 FTE (upcoming potential to go 1.00),schedule consists of four 8 hr days per week. Every 4th weekend (with days off when working weekend), and one holiday per year.

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recommend experience as a Physical Therapist preferably in a medical setting.
  • Recommend membership in related professional organization.
  • Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
  • Proficient in clinical equipment related to area of expertise.
  • Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
