Job description

The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients' conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. It initiates communication among inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for patients and the team. The role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require occasional guidance during complex or cross-coverage situations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Evaluating and treating all diagnoses and more complex patients.
  2. Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Administering therapeutic exercises and other interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
  4. Educating patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques.
  5. Collaborating on discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
  6. Monitoring and documenting patient progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions.
  7. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  8. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Experience: Minimum 3 years

Licensure/Certification: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
