Job Description: Physical Therapist II

The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients' conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is capable of effectively and efficiently treating all patients within their clinical practice setting and completing all physical therapy duties with minimal guidance. The role involves communicating with interdisciplinary team members, confidently treating familiar patients, and advocating for patients and the team. Mentoring or guidance may be required in complex situations, and cross-coverage to other settings might be challenging.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and treat patients with all diagnoses, including complex cases.
2. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
4. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques.
5. Collaborate on discharge planning and recommendations for continued care.
6. Monitor and document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions for plan adjustments.
7. Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years (required)
• Licensure/Certification: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
